THE LEXICON OF SUSTAINABILITY JOINED the United States Department of Agriculture and their Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) on a two-year journey to tell the story of organic agriculture in the US. The initiative included hundreds of interviews with organic and transitioning farmers, soil scientists and agronomists to capture the inspiration behind their principles and practices. The Lexicon’s Douglas Gayeton then translated their insights—and their own words— into a series of information artworks.
To learn more about these ideas, you can download GROWING ORGANIC, a short book made with the USDA’s Natural Resource Conservation Service, which explains their work to help farmers adopt some of these practices.
